Another port of entry is the International Airport in Punta del Este, or, if you would rather sail the ocean, Montevideo has the best natural port in South America. At any of these locations you can rent a car, with or without a chauffeur, take a bus or a taxi and get to La Barra del Chuy in about 4 to 7 hours. You have probably never seen brighter nights or a sky covered with quite so many stars as the ones you will see in La Barra del Chuy. The local music will intertwine with the fresh breeze of the ocean captivating your senses. Walks or horse rides along the bright sea will keep you in a state of nirvana.
